About Me

Headshot I’m a Canadian writer who loves to talk about all things science. My articles have appeared in The Atlantic, Quartz, Scienceline.org and RealClearScience. I have a B.Sc. in zoology, a college degree in classical music, and a deep love for legumes and slam poetry.

I currently reside in New York City, where I am interning at Quartz and working toward an MA in health, science, and environmental reporting at NYU. If this short bio doesn’t satisfy, you’ll find more information about me and the things I get up to on my personal website.

You can reach me by commenting on this blog, tweeting at me on Twitter (where else?), or by emailing me at arielle [dot] duhaimeross [at] gmail [dot] com.

  1. Saw the picture. Do cats eat salamaders? Do salamanders have a good sense of hearing? For how long do they live? I would like to know more about salamanders.
